Frank Lampard, the former Chelsea and Derby County manager, is set to return to the Premier League with struggling Everton.
The Merseyside club, who sacked Rafa Benitez on the 16th January, have hosted a number of managerial interviews in London as they attempt to find a candidate who best fits their requirements.
Following the conclusion of the interviews, Everton's Farhad Moshiri has reportedly decided that he thinks Lampard would be the best man for the job.
Another manager who has been interviewed for the job was Wayne Rooney, but he has recently came out and said that he could not leave Derby County as he still has a role to play for the Championship Club.
The Athletic report that Frank Lampard will be followed to Goodison Park by Anthony Barry, who is currently a coach at Chelsea. However, no agreement has been reached as of yet with Chelsea for the possible move of the coach.
Lampard was sacked by Chelsea around a year ago, and in that time has held talks with a number of Premier League outfits - with a few being Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Norwich City. However, Lampard did not take any jobs as he felt that none of them were quite what he was looking for.
As the Premier League currently finds itself in a winter break, Everton's next fixture is against Brentford in the FA Cup on the 5th of February - giving Lampard a couple of days to instil his tactics into his players.
