Manchester United has been up for sale since November, meaning the Glazers have likely been bombarded with offers for around 6 months. However, reports emerging from ESPN claim that co-chairmen Joel and Avram Glazer are increasingly confident of securing outside investment that will see them remain owners.

ESPN sources suggest that the brothers both favour the selling of a minority share which will enable them to remain in charge at Manchester United. The source also suggests that the Glazers feel fresh investment could double the value of the club over the next decade and make it worth potentially £10 billion.
While offers have been received from Qatar and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, it is understood that the Glazers feel a minority investment from the US would see the club’s value skyrocket.

According to reports, the United hierarchy believes that the club has the potential to significantly increase its value through investments both on and off the pitch. This belief is based on expected growth in broadcast revenue, streaming opportunities, and a potential restructuring of the club game.
