Lewis Hamilton and George Russell hit Silverstone track with the Mercedes W13

The Mercedes W13 hits the Silverstone track for the first time, following its reveal on the 18th February.

Following the car's reveal ahead of the Barcelona shakedown between February 23rd and 25th the Mercedes team have been at Silverstone for a media day and a car shakedown.

Mercedes, like all other teams so far, hit the track following their reveal in order capture some images of the car as well as to get to grips with it before being taken to Barcelona where it can be rigorously tried and tested to get it to the standards that the teams want.

Both Lewis Hamilton and, Mercedes newbie, George Russell were present at the media day in Silverstone as both drivers had the opportunity to take the car for a spin before it was boxed up and sent to Barcelona for official pre season testing.

Following the Mercedes' car launch, 8 of the 10 teams have now revealed their challenger for 2022 - with Alpine (21st Feb) and Alpha Romeo (27th Feb) being the remaining 2 teams who are yet to reveal their livery.

Alpha Romeo, however, have been spotted testing their C42 with a camo livery on the car to hide any of their aerodynamic advancements that are on the car.
